The short version
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
- If you join the waitlist, we receive your email address and use it only to tell you when bramtide is ready.
- In the app, your check-ins are stored on your iPhone. Sharing with friends is off by default, and friends see a simple status, never your percentage.
- We don't build advertising profiles and we don't sell personal data.
Who we are
bramtide is operated by [Legal entity name], [registered address], [country] ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].
This website
When you visit bramtide.com, our servers and our network provider process technical information that every browser sends: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is needed to deliver the page and to protect it from abuse. Server logs are kept for no longer than [14] days.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which acts as our network and security provider.
We do not use cookies. If you choose a language, that choice is saved in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us.
Invite links. If you open an invite link (bramtide.com/invite/…), the invite code is read only inside your browser to show the page. It is not sent to us or to anyone else from the website, and the page is set so the code is not passed on when you follow a link from it.
The waitlist
If you choose to save your spot, we receive:
- your email address,
- the language the site was shown in,
- the page you signed up from and the time.
Your sign-up is delivered to our inbox through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-forwarding service, and stored in our email account, which is provided by Google (Gmail).
We use it only to email you when bramtide is ready and, if you invite a friend, to honour any founding-member perks we offer. The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to [email protected], and we will delete your address.
The bramtide app
Check-ins
Your energy check-ins, notes, context tags and patterns are stored on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
Account and friends (optional)
If you use the friends features, we create an account using Sign in with Apple. Our server, located in the European Union, then stores:
- an account identifier,
- the display name you choose,
- your friend connections,
- the simple status you decide to share (for example, Available, Limited or Recharging).
Your percentage is never shared. Sharing is off by default, and you can hide your status from anyone or stop sharing at any time.
Health and Calendar (optional)
If you allow it, the app reads limited Apple Health or Calendar information to give you better context. This information is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers. You can change these permissions in Settings at any time.
Subscriptions
Payments are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives purchase receipts and an anonymous app user identifier. We never see your payment card.
What we don't do
We don't show ads, don't use advertising identifiers, don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and don't sell or rent personal data.
Who we share with
We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Where data is processed
Our own servers are in the European Union. Some providers above may process data outside the EU, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist emails: until launch plus [12] months, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Account and friends data: while your account exists. Deleting your account in the app removes it from our server within [30] days.
- Server logs: up to [14] days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including in the EU and UK, you have the right to:
- access, correct or delete your personal data,
- object to or restrict its processing,
- receive it in a portable format,
- withdraw consent at any time.
To use these rights, write to [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Children
bramtide is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If changes are significant, we will tell you in the app or by email.
