1. Delete from the app (fastest)#
- Open bramtide
On your iPhone.
- Go to Settings › Privacy & data
You'll find it near the bottom of Settings.
- Choose what to delete
Pick one of the three options below and confirm.
Delete Friends account
Deletes your name, friends and shared status on our server. Everything on your iPhone stays.
Delete all bramtide data
Deletes everything bramtide stores on this iPhone.
Delete everything and my account
Both of the above.
Tip: if you want a copy first, choose Export your data. You get a readable JSON file.
2. What is deleted#
- On your iPhone: check-ins, daily records, forecasts, the learned model, settings, and the widget and Apple Watch copies.
- On our server (Friends account): your account, nickname, connections, blocks, current status, open invites and sessions are deleted right away. Your Sign in with Apple link is revoked with Apple.
- Backups: our encrypted server backups expire within 30 days. Your data disappears from them then.
3. What is kept, and why#
- Apple Health: data you saved to Apple Health stays in the Health app, which you control. You can delete it there: Health app › Browse › Mental Wellbeing › State of Mind.
- Reports you made about others are kept for up to 180 days after review, for safety, with your account removed from them.
- Purchase records stay with Apple, and with RevenueCat as required for accounting and tax.
4. Your subscription#
Deleting your account or the app does not cancel bramtide Pro. Cancel it in iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › bramtide.
5. Already deleted the app?#
- Your on-device data was removed with the app.
- If you had a Friends account, the simplest way is to install bramtide again, open Friends, sign in with Apple, then go to Settings › Privacy & data › Delete Friends account.
- Or email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Friends account". We'll reply with the steps to verify the request. We never ask for your password.
